1. Bidirectional counter technology
Smart meters use bidirectional counters with a reversing wheel mechanism. When users try to change the polarity of the current and voltage coils by illegal means, or use stealing devices to reverse the aluminum disk of the energy meter, the counter can automatically adjust the direction through the reversing mechanism to ensure that the energy meter always counts normally. This technology effectively prevents users from stealing electricity through reverse measurement.
2. Voltage hook protection
In the cover of the smart meter, a voltage hook protection mechanism is designed. Even if the hook in the external junction box is removed, there is still a hook inside the meter, making it impossible for users to steal electricity by removing the voltage hook. This design greatly enhances the safety of the meter and prevents users from stealing electricity through physical means.
3. Current coil design
Smart meters use a combination of forward and reverse winding coils in the design of the current coil. When the current coil detects a current imbalance caused by theft, it will immediately trigger the anti-electricity theft system, thereby disconnecting the power supply. This design can respond quickly to theft and prevent illegal loss of electricity.
4. Hall sensor application
The smart meter is equipped with a Hall sensor, which can keenly detect changes in the external magnetic field. When someone attempts to damage the meter by changing the phase of the current and voltage, the sensor will immediately sense it and trigger the anti-theft system, thereby disconnecting the power supply. This technology effectively resists high-tech power theft.
5. Remote monitoring and data analysis
The smart meter has a built-in communication module that can communicate with the power company's server in real time. The power company can use remote monitoring to grasp the user's power consumption in real time and discover possible power theft based on the power consumption data. For example, if the user's power consumption suddenly drops sharply or abnormal power consumption data appears, the power company can respond quickly and take corresponding measures. In addition, the smart meter also has a wealth of data recording functions, such as recording of voltage, current, power and other information, which provides strong support for anti-power theft analysis.
6. Encryption technology and security authentication
The smart meter has a built-in encryption module that can encrypt power consumption data to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the data. At the same time, the new generation of smart energy meters also supports security authentication functions. Through the embedded security module, encryption protection is used for identity authentication, and encryption protection and security authentication are performed on the transmitted data to prevent illegal modification of key metering parameters for electricity theft.
7. Physical protection design
The shell and internal structure of the smart meter are specially designed to prevent users from disassembling or destroying it. For example, the shell of the smart meter is made of high-strength materials and is difficult to be easily destroyed; the internal metering chip is specially packaged to prevent users from tampering or destroying it.
