The soul of the smart grid AMI system!
With the continuous development of power electronics and network communication technology, smart grids have become an important means to solve the low energy utilization rate and lack of automation capabilities of traditional grids. Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), as the core of two-way transmission of smart grid data flow, has been widely used. In the smart grid AMI system, the two-way transmission, interaction, and collection of data have become particularly important. In reality, the success rate of data communication between smart meters, terminal devices, and system platforms is not good. Therefore, how to design a high scalability and high reliable communication network supporting the two-way flow of power and information has become a current research hotspot.
The concentrator is the key device in the data transmission of the smart grid AMI system; in order to ensure reliable data communication, effective management of smart meters, and data integrity, YTL has launched a new smart centralized controller.
Upstream communication: It has 4G, WIFI, and Ethernet communication for remote reading, remote control, and remote firmware upgrade;
Downstream communication: The communication module can be replaced and supports hot-swappable (LoRa, PLC, Wi-Fine, etc.); standard two-way RS485 communication, parameter settings and local firmware upgrades are available.
Auxiliary power supply: DC12V auxiliary power supply, which can work for a long time when the mains power fails, and realizes the power failure alarm function.
Data storage: Automatically collect real-time data of the electric meter, store monthly 0:00 freezing data; record the load profile of the past 10 days and 1 year of settlement data; have functions such as automatic time calibration, self-diagnosis, abnormal information recording and alarms.
Keyboard input: equipped with a numeric keyboard, when the concentrator loses contact with the system platform, the smart meter can be managed through the keyboard.
YTL AMI system is a system that uses smart meters and terminal equipment to measure, collect and analyze user power consumption data and provide open two-way communication through multiple communication media on demand or in a set manner. It is a basic information platform for power grid company and corporate customers.
AMI is not a single technology application, but an overall architecture that integrates existing and new power technologies, including smart metering, data collection terminals, power sales terminals, communication networks with data centers and data collection management and data application platforms.
