Under the circumstance of global resource shortage, how to realize order delivery in the shortest time to support our partners to occupy more market share? 2021 was a very difficult year for the meter manufacturing industry. In the face of global resource shortages, especially chip shortages, YTL metering has achieved a sales increase of more than 30%. The rapid increase is closely related to our continuous improvement of management methods and the improvement of process efficiency.
In 2021, YTL metering introduced lean production, the core content of which is to eliminate all kinds of waste. The main goal is to reduce all kinds of waste throughout the management of the entire operation process, to pursue excellence and continuous improvement, and to pursue perfection, so as to reduce costs, shorten the manufacturing cycle, improve product quality, and ultimately improve the overall capabilities of the enterprise.
To achieve lean management of production, the most important thing is to remove all non-value-added activities. Therefore, our understanding of waste in the production process is very important, which is mainly divided into seven categories: 1. Waste of defective products 2. Manufacturing in the production process (premature waste and nimiety wast) waste 3. Handling waste 4. Moving waste 5. Inventory waste 6. Waiting waste 7.Processing waste.
For example, in the welding process, our original way of thinking is to insert all the components that need to be inserted. Put them in a row, or put one or twenty identical boards on one piece and then weld them together as a whole. It looks like a single action and seems the efficiency is very high. But in fact, the overall efficiency is very low. The consequence of this is the accumulation of waste and poor products caused by accumulation between products. Through the guidance of lean production management, it has been changed to single-piece flow and reasonable hand-held flow, and the overall efficiency has increased 20%.
After half a year of repeated practice, YTL metering not only increased the welding efficiency by 20%, but also achieved a great improvement in PPH (per capita output per hour). From the original 7.11 to the current 11.6, the efficiency increased by 55%.
YTL metering has always been adhering to the responsibility of creating value for customers, constantly breaking through innovation, and improving self-value. In 2022, we will continue to improve ourselves and create more value for customers.
