Meter Classification
1. The watt-hour meter can be divided into a DC watt-hour meter and an AC watt-hour meter according to the circuit it uses. For example, the power supply used in our home is alternating current, so it is an AC watt-hour meter.
2. AC watt-hour meters can be divided into single-phase watt-hour meters, three-phase three-wire watt-hour meters and three-phase four-wire watt-hour meters according to their circuits. Generally, single-phase watt-hour meters are used in households, but Villas and large households also use three-phase four-wire watt-hour meters, and industrial users use three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire watt-hour meters.
This is a three phase mounted installation counter meter with advantage of stable function, small dimension,,low weight ,good appearance as well as easy installation ect., the meter is comply with Standard IEC 62052-11 and IEC 65053-21.
Meter principle
Meters are divided into two types in terms of working principle: traditional inductive watt-hour meters and electronic watt-hour meters.
The household induction watt-hour meter is mainly composed of a series electromagnet (coil and load in series), a parallel electromagnet (coil and load in parallel), an aluminum disc and a counting mechanism.
Electronic watt-hour meters are manufactured with advanced technologies such as large-scale application-specific integrated circuits and high-reliability stepping motors. It has the advantages of high precision, high sensitivity, wide load (current overload multiple > 6 times), low power consumption (power consumption of the meter itself < 1 W), long service life, light weight, and low creep.
Household electricity meter installation
1. The current and amperage of the meter should be suitable for the total wattage of household electrical appliances. It is more appropriate for general households to use a 2.5 ampere meter.
2. The voltage of the meter must match the voltage of the power supply. If the power supply voltage is 220 volts, a 110-volt meter cannot be used, otherwise the voltage coil of the meter will burn out and cause an accident.
3. The meter should be installed in a dry place, not above the kitchen or gas stove.
4. The installation height of the meter should be appropriate. The height of the meter center from the ground is 1.5-1.8 meters.
5. The meter should be installed on the wooden board used for power distribution, and it should be firmly installed on a reliable and dry wall. It cannot be installed on the door frame or on the wooden wall.
6. The wire connection must be firm, and the connection cannot be loose or bad, otherwise sparks will easily occur and danger will occur.
How to see the degree of electricity meter
Single-phase watt-hour meter: The single-phase watt-hour meter will directly display the number, which is the accumulated electricity consumption. The subtraction of the number of this month and the number of the previous month is the electricity consumption of this month.
Three-phase four-wire watt-hour meter: The actual power consumption is the multiplication of the three-phase watt-hour meter and the reading of the transformer. For example, if we use a current transformer connected to 75/5, then the final reading of the meter must be multiplied by 15 to be the actual power we use.
Smart meter: The smart meter has only one LCD screen. If it is single-phase, it will directly display the total power and remaining power, and it can be read directly.
